I designed this custom little finger brace/medical jewelry for my partner's joint hypermobility using Oculus Medium.

The brace immobilizes the PIP (middle) joint and prevents hyperextension of the DIP (closest to the fingertip) joint, while allowing for regular flexion (typing, grasping, etc.) We couldn't find any braces that were designed for this specific purpose, so we made our own! I created each version in Oculus Medium, and then used my Formlabs Form 2 for the 3D print. The brace is asymmetrical to allow for clearance around the bone on the outside of the finger. I'm very happy with how the brace turned out, and my partner says it's quite comfortable to wear all day.
